Below is the paper I wrote for Anthropology 215: Medical Anthropology and Global Health. I had to write an illness narrative in which I interviewed someone who had experience with health problems. I had never written any sort of paper like this before-- my college writing consisted of lab reports, and most of my high school experience was literary analysis. At any rate, I really enjoyed writing this paper and I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. I liked the direction I decided to go with the topic and I made a claim that I feel strongly about-- I wish I had more than 5-8 pages to write about it. (Of course, I ended up writing 10 which I feel marginally bad about because the TAs have to grade so many papers... but I honestly felt that there was nothing I could cut out and my TA didn't seem too concerned with going over the page limit, though I might have misread that... I'm not sure.) I'm excited to get feedback on it and see if my ideas came across as clear as I had intended!
